A show about the impact of the black death on medieval Europe. I love how they use actors to dramatize writing taken from the period.
Retrofit on Flickr. The return of retrofit from Tokyoflash! This one is from ebay and is gunmetal with blue LEDs. The original one I owned, which ironically I lost in Japan was silver with red LEDS.
Created on an old Tektronix oscilloscope, King achieves ostensibly animate self-organizing wave forms (composed of literal tracers) by fully exploiting the device’s antiquated Rutt Etra video synthesis technology, generating series upon series of ephemeral crystalline light structures that assemble themselves as quickly as they vanish. The video itself is a collage of multiple live-takes of King processing video where all images are generated by the track’s sinewaves, creating completely synced frequency-based-reactions to the opener’s buoyant journey.
“Why diacritical marks are essential” I pay a lot more attention to these now especially when typing on the phone where inserting the correct character is so easy.
